Still here in Atlanta, studying to be a Physician Assistant. I enjoy hearing news from home, though, in the form of NVRHA activities! Congrat's to Paulette on the new Co leadership post, you seem to have plenty of enthusiasm, and I look forward to getting back home in 2013 and riding again.

Any chance of getting more of these events further south? Pueblo is the closest to me and it's still 2 1/2 hours away. Just wondering if you were thinking of expanding into the San Luis valley area. Thank you.

Congratulations Todd Hofmann and French Flit Tuff Gal (aka Frenchie) for the overall win in their Class at the Denver Stock Show's National Western Ranch Horse Classic! They did very well placing 1st and 2nd in Ranch Riding, Ranch Trial, and Cutting. They placed 3rd in Reining/Cow Work, received two 2nd place wins in the confirmation, and the 1st place overall. Needless to say both Judges appreciated their performances. Both Todd and I did our best to promote the COVRHA over the course of the last two days. We would like to extend a very special thanks to Cindy (and her husband), Teresa, and Janielle for all their help and support. Todd also thanks the NVRHA and the COVRHA for the knowledge he has gained through these organizations that have allowed him to accomplish this win through their clinic and competitions. He is able to cross this off his bucket list as he wanted to finish out with this win on Frenchie. It is their last ride competing together.

I’m circulating this e-flyer in doing a search for housing. If you know of anything that would fit the description below, please contact me. Or pass it along to someone whom you may think might know of a lead. Thanks.

Need House in Country
Senior on small fixed income needs house in the country for himself and two horses. I have farm/ranch management experience. Have building skills and can do fix up. Nothing fancy is needed. I have done this in the past with benefits to all parties. Have experience with livestock. The only requirement is a house with a phone line for an internet connection. Sometimes I pick up extra money teaching online college courses. This income is small (only $2000 per class) but, in combination with a small social security check, it is enough to pay utilities and get by, if I can trade housing rent for some part time caretaker duties.
